New Bus Schedule
The Fall 2011 Bus schedule is here. Here are the new yearly rates by school. The new studio also has a homework area in the lobby so even if your student has a later starting class take advantage of the Blue Dog Bus.

The bus is also available for local charter. Whether it's a big family pick-up at the airport or a group of friends going to homecoming. Rates start a $125 hr. with special rates for our Blue Dog families.
Class Descriptions
 Ballet
Ballet is a formal and technical style of dance. And can be traced back to the late 15th century. Classes focus on core strength, flexibility, body alignment, and muscle control. The method of ballet can vary depending upon the training of the individual instructor. Ballet develops grace, poise, and discipline.
 Jazz
Jazz is known for its powerful jumps, high kicks, and precise turns. Technique focuses on building a strong core with the ability to use the spine in undulations and contractions. We explore different styles of jazz choreography including character, broadway, adagio, or dance team.
 Lyrical
Lyrical is a combination of jazz and ballet technique that allows for a greater expression of lyrics. Contemporary is similar to lyrical in technique and incorporates modern elements that allow for both lyrical and abstract interpretation of movement. Both styles are relatively new as dance forms and can vary from one class to another.
 Tap
Tap can come in a variety of styles, but the taps on the shoes make it a fun, percussive form of dance. Tap dancing is an American art form with a history of influences of African, Irish, and Spanish dance. We develop tappers who can function as Broadway, rhythm, or classical tap dancers. We focus on technique, vocabulary, syncopation and improvisation.
Tap for the Deaf / Hard of Hearing
Feel what it's like to experience one of the great American art forms. The focus of the class is still on technique, vocabulary, syncopation and improvisation.
 Hip Hop
Hip Hop has developed from street dancing and now incorporates styles ranging from cheerleading to urban styles. Students enjoy this style of dance while exploring the dance concepts of space, time, energy and focus.
 Creative Dance/Movement
Creative Movement classes are an introduction to dance and interpretive movement. Our classes are based on brain-compatible dance education concepts. Children reinforce neurological pathways to develop movement patterns as the base of all dance education. All this, while having a good time meeting friends.
 Pre-dance or Dance
Pre-dance classes are offered to children ages 4-7 as they transition from a creative movement class to a more structured technique class. These classes usually combine styles to expose dancers to a variety of movement possibilities. Elements of Ballet, Jazz and Tap are incorporated into each class.
 Voice
Private voice lessons produce listening skills, a sense of pitch, rhythm, and the ability to read sheet music. Students learn proper control of breath and develop a repertoire of songs. Students can choose to focus on classical, pop, or musical theater styles. Lessons are 30 minutes.
Choir
Choirs are group singing lessons where students learn music as a group and learn harmony. Students learn some voice fundamentals as they develop a repertoire of songs to perform.
Show Choir (Glee)
Singing and dancing lessons for live stage performance. Students spend one hour focusing on singing, and one hour learning dance moves to complement their songs. A great choice for performers and children interested in musical theater.
 Acting
Acting classes teach improvisation, character development, emoting, and staging. Students do small projects to perform throughout the academic year.
Acobatics
What every dancer should have in their tool box. Strength, flexibility, balance, agility and motor coordination taught safely and mixed in with our dance concepts.
